Dangerous goods safety adviser under the GbV

GbVADR 1.8.3

Who it applies to

Undertakings whose activities include the carriage of dangerous goods. There are only a few exemptions.

Our role

Appointed external dangerous goods safety adviser, from the site visit to the annual report.

What you get

A dangerous goods organisation that stands up in court, so you can ship lawfully and without fines.

Under the German Ordinance on Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (GbV) and ADR sub-section 1.8.3, undertakings whose activities include the carriage of dangerous goods must appoint a dangerous goods safety adviser. There are only a few exemptions from this duty, and the appointment can be an external one. An external safety adviser saves time and cost and lets you show results from the start of the project. Their expertise spares you the training of your own staff or the hiring of a new specialist. An external safety adviser gives you professionalism, specialist knowledge and competence, even on a small budget.

At the start of our work we visit your site. We get to know your processes, your locations and your dangerous goods, because only then can we say which duties apply to you and where the work has to begin. If you would like to get to know us beforehand, do get in touch.

We help you build a dangerous goods organisation that stands up in court, so that you can carry all your dangerous goods lawfully and without fines.

This includes:

  • building your dangerous goods logistics
  • classifying and identifying your dangerous goods
  • testing lithium batteries in accordance with the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, part III, sub-section 38.3
  • plausibility checks
  • building your packaging logistics
  • training and instructing your staff
