All of us, whether dangerous goods safety advisers, instructors, auditors or other appointed officers, are expected to produce reports, opinions and audits that stand up legally. In just 2 days our intensive course teaches you the foundations of legal work: from working through legislation in a structured way, to the method of legal reasoning, to hands on case analysis.
You learn how to structure complex legal questions clearly, how to find and read legal sources with confidence, and how to document your findings so that others can follow them. Instead of theory you get practical exercises, real cases and tools you can use straight away in your working day.
- Do participants need any prior legal knowledge?
No prior legal knowledge is needed to take part. Instead, the course introduces you to all the legal methods that let you, as an appointed officer, put your professional knowledge to full use and put your work and yourself on a sound legal footing. You are also trained in various legal methods that make your work as an appointed officer more professional.
